 Performance & Endurance Coaching

As a British Cycling qualified coach I can help you to maximise your time and resources, avoid many common pitfalls associated with generic training plans, helping you to build significant endurance and event demand performance gains.

Finding out more about you & your goals

Contact me for a free 30mins chat about your current fitness, your aspirations and how I can help you to be more structured, avoid the common training pitfalls, and with hard work make you stronger and faster in 2025!

An important step and also a great way for you to find out a bit more about me and how I believe a British Cycling Coach can support you in achieving your goals!

Set-up

Together we'll document your goals and target event(s) in the coming season, work through your current fitness, strengths and opportunities, and discuss how we can maximise your time and resources.

It's at this point we'll agree your desired level of support and the associated costs, be that a one off payment or monthly direct debit.

Prices vary dependent upon whether you're looking for a bespoke 12 - 16 week plan or monthly prescription within an annual programme, and the desired level of advice, analysis and feedback you require.

We'll set up your Training Peaks account and start the macro planning of your plan or training programme.

Testing & Benchmarking

Irrespective of whether you're training for a single sportive or looking to build strength and fitness for the upcoming season, we'll need to test your current fitness level.

Multi-dimensional testing will capture heart rate and power, enabling us to then set the right level of stimulus through your training plan or programme.

Periodic testing forms part of a longer approach, if you are subscribing to an annual plan.

Training

Your prescribed training will be available in Training Peaks and be readily linked to a Garmin or a Wahoo device.

Access to a smart indoor trainer is always preferable and proves an ideal way to keep training through the shorter, darker days of the winter.

Revisions to training plans can be made throughout the month, based on your feedback and any change in circumstance, such as illness, available time or personal commitments.

Regular feedback and review of progress

Training plans should never be seen as the finished article, there will undoubtedly need to be changes and intervention for lots of reasons, time pressure, illness and injury, to name a few.

Regular analysis and reviews of your prescribed training sessions will be conducted, so we can ensure you're on track to achieve your goals.

As an experinced WKO5 user and Level 2 TrainingPeaks accredited coach, I can help you understand your data and highlight the important metrics.

The number and frequency of these discussions are subject to the plan you purchase or programme you subscribe.

He was really supportive and helped me to understand the purpose of each session.

I became much more able to get into the break and gained several wins and podiums, achieving my cat 2 license by the end of June 2024.
